Taylor Swift had a recent interview with Sunday Mail where she revealed some...interesting but funny things. Like...for instance did you know she used to open her shows by rapping to Eminem?! LOL I never knew that. After the break she also talks about her friendship with Miley and how they deal with the bad things that happen to her. Check it out.
"When I was 16 I used to open my shows with a cover of Eminem's Lose Yourself. I was just this young girl playing a guitar so to get myself noticed I would come on and rap. It worked, people remembered me. I'd love to work with someone on a hip hop song, like Dido did with Eminem or Tim McGraw did with Nelly. I like the idea of strange collaborations with artists outside of what I do. I am a massive fan of Jack White and Kings Of Leon, they are my favorite band right now so working with them would be incredible."
Taylor Swift posted a new blog about being on the cover of Rolling Stones and her 13th week of Fearless being out. She also talks about a few other things including her overseas experiences.
On the cover the of the Rolling Stone. :) Now it's all designed to blow our minds, But our minds won't really be blown, Like the blow that'll get you when you get your picture, On the cover of the Rolling Stone"
I'm so excited, I can't even stand it. It's on news stands now, and I haven't seen it yet because I'm in London, but I just can't believe I get to be on the cover of Rolling Stone. Wow. This is crazy.
It's been a fun couple of weeks.. We played at the San Antonio rodeo, and that was a total blast. We hadn't gotten to play a full show (like a two hour show) in a few months, so everyone in the band was going crazy all day. All week, even, it was just 'I need to play a show. I need to play a show.'
Then we got to San Antonio, and we were all walking around the arena before meet and greet. I was walking back to the dressing room, when I passed Caitlin (fiddle extraordinaire) in the hall. She was wearing these silver, reflective, almost blinding leggings under her skirt.
That's the sort of thing we all tease each other about, so as soon as I got back to the dressing room, before I turned the corner, I yelled 'Caitlin looks like a space stripper!'. I turn the corner, and standing in my dressing room is George Strait and his wife Norma. I literally was so mortified, I fell to the floor and my face was BRIGHT red. We all burst out laughing and hung out for about an hour. I don't think anything has ever surprised me as much, and I honestly never thought I'd get to say that George Strait came to watch one of my shows.
Alright, now I'm going to prove my '13' theory even more with a few things that have happened lately. I know I'm always going on about 13 being my lucky number, but this is really.. coincidental.
So, this is the 13th week of Fearless being out. In the 13th week of my album being out, 'Love Story' went number ONE on pop radio!! Not only that, but this week, the album went back to number one on the Billboard 100 (which I never expected it would do). Also in the 13th week, my Rolling Stone cover came out.
Taylor Swift had recent interviews with Self Magazine and Rolling Stones, both where she is the covergirl. In these interviews she revealed that she has never had a cigarette or drank alcohol. She also shared that she doesn't say anything about anything related to sex because no matter what answer you give people are going to picture you naked and she doesn't want that. She dished about her best friends. "I feel like Miley,Selena, and Demi are my age. It's crazy, I always forget that they're 16." She also dished on rebelling and things of that nature "When you lose someone's trust, it's lost, and there are a lot of people out there who are counting on me right now. Rebellion is what you make of it. When you've been on a tour bus for two months straight, then you get in your car and drive wherever you want, that can feel rebellious."
Taylor Swiftis featured on the cover of Rolling Stone [as we posted earlier] and she cleared up some confusion about the Joe Jonas break-up. Joe wrote in a myspace blog kind of hinting Taylor hung up on him. Taylor told Rolling Stone,'I did not hang up on him.' Then mouthed, 'Omigod.' She also had some interesting things to say about love. "I'm fascinated by love rather than the principles of 'Oh, does this guy like me?' I love love. I love studying it and watching it. I love thinking about how we treat each other and the crazy way that one person can feel one thing and another can feel totally different. It just doesn't take much for me to be inspired to write a song about a person, but I'm much more likely to write a song than do anything about it. You know, self-preservation."
Man....I thought this was over. Why don't people just stop asking her about it? It's over and done with. LOL.
Is everyone singing duets nowadays? Seriously. Selena Gomez just dished that she'd love to do a duet with Taylor Swift. Yes! We have talked about a duet. I think it would be really neat to have the country vibe. She's not just plain country, she's got a little pop edge to her. It's something I really admire, so we want to write a really awesome country rock song and it sounds a little weird but we're totally down for that." It seems like Taylor is just close to all the Disney girls now. Not EVERYONE needs to duet with everyone. LOL. Having said that...I will still listen to it obviously.
